SCHMIDT CONSTRUCTION NOW HIRING EQUIPMENT OPERATORS Benefits Competitive Pay Tuition Assistance/Reimbursement Comprehensive Benefit Plan Development Opportunities Responsibilities Perform pre-shift safety inspection Maintain the machine/truck (e.g. greasing, oiling, fueling, inspecting breaks, tires, seals and bearings.) Keep the "work" area level and maintain area to allow easy movement and access Moving earth and other material to create pits Monitor for change in machine performance to identify if there are any malfunctions Assist maintenance personnel with repairs Load materials in correct bins, carefully maintain and monitor feed materials and their levels of stock Load trucks with the correct materials without contamination while complying with the legal weight limit for the trucks Load feeder hopper with raw materials Monitoring stockpile inventory levels Working safely within all regulations Also assist in various other tasks Qualifications Knowledge of materials Knowledge of equipment (e.g., conveyor lines, crusher, hot plant, and trucks) Basic mechanical skills Ability to identify mechanical malfunctions Ability to operate endloader, bulldozer, excavator and trucl Knowledge of truck hauling capacities Knowledge of loading/unloading procedures Ability to communicate well with other operators, customer trucks, and dispatch Ability to read and write Physical Requirements Lifting up to 50lbs Using hands and feet to move levers and depress pedals Sitting, standing, walking for an extended period of time Pushing and pulling Climbing on, into, and out of vehicles Working outside for extended periods of time in inclement weather Good hand/eye coordination Great Opportunity - Don't Miss Out!
