Description
1 year old male boxer. If interested, please read this thoroughly before responding. I will not respond to emails that do not contain the info I've requested. We adopted this guy about 6 months ago and I love him so much. It is with extreme sadness that we have decided to rehome our boy. This was a very tough decision for us but I know it's what we need to do. He occasionally nips at my younger kids when they're doing something he doesn't like and about a week ago, he actually growled at my son before nipping at him. He's never bitten anyone and is the sweetest guy but I think he just views my younger kids as his littermates. He does not do this with my older kids or any adults. The other main reason we need to rehome him is that he has always been an escaper but recently he discovered that if he jumps on our fence boards hard enough, they will break away and he runs right up the path next to our house right out onto the busy street. He has almost gotten ran over a few times. He is a lover and thinks he is a lap dog. He would be perfect for someone who works from home and needs a companion. He is good with other dogs and loves to play. I would prefer him to go to a home with female dogs (or if you don't have any dogs thats fine too) because it's common for males to develop aggression with each other and since we're already his second home, I want his next home to be his final home. He also does fine with older kids, about ages 11 and up. If you're interested: -You need to be familiar with the boxer breed -You need to have a secure backyard. Boxers have an enormous amount of energy and are NOT apartment dogs. I will not rehome him to someone who lives in an apartment -You need to be home most of the day with him as he is VERY needy and will develop behavioral problems if left alone all-day -You should feel comfortable with us bringing him to you so that I can see how he does with you and your home -His food cost $60/month, so please don't take him unless you can afford that If you're still interested, please email me the following: -Your address -A little about yourself and why you think you would be a good fit -Do you have other animals or kids? We are asking a small rehoming fee. He also has not been neutered yet (we were waiting until he fully matures) but you should know that he was one testicle that didn't descend so his neutering will be more expensive)
