Job Summary: Windstar Lines of Kansas City is looking to fill a position for a Facilities/ Maintenance General Laborer who will perform general facilities maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities, both inside and outside of the building. The role is general labor with time split between facilities and motor coach cleaning/maintenance tasks. Duties/Responsibilities: • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair. • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. • Performs routine maintenance on building systems. • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. • Bus cleaning, buffing, polishing, waxing. • Yard maintenance including snow removal and cleaning of the parking lots. • Part Runs and other light maintenance duties as directed. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to follow instructions from supervisor. • Ability to work at a fast pace. • Ability to do restorative detailing work • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair. • Ability to use hand tools and power tools. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Related experience preferred. • On-the-job training offered. Physical Requirements: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. • Very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stopping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. • Frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
