Pipe Crew Loader Operators are responsible for manipulating heavy equipment in a safe manner. Usual duties for this role include performing maintenance checks, implementing safety measures, maintaining equipment, and removing debris. Duties and Responsibilities: • Preparation of ground, loading and placement of backfill (waste material) to be placed underground. • Experience safely operating a variety of equipment including excavators, backhoes, wheel loaders and rollers. • Ability to safely and efficiently dig around existing underground utilities, cut and fill to grade, load trucks, excavate and backfill trenches to desired compaction, and lay utilities including pipe, structures, and vaults. • Work in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life. • Observe operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications • Responsible for equipment maintenance; perform pre- and post- shift inspections documenting items in need of service or repair, diagnosing problems, and performing minor mechanical repair. • Report mechanical failures and/or material inconsistencies to supervisor. • Perform additional assignments per Supervisors direction. Qualifications: • Minimum 2-year experience • Ability to work in several diverse locations, as site locations may change. • Dedicated and hard working. • The ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions, such as cold, heat and humidity.
