Description

Small Luxury Boutique hotel seeks a full-time maintenance engineer. Maintenance is the glue that holds it all together! This role is responsible for the proper maintenance and upkeep of guest rooms, guest public areas, restaurant, spa and lounge. Together with, the responsibility for performing the job in a safe and efficient manner. Participation in preventative maintenance program. Respond to maintenance requests generated by staff members and guests in a timely manner. Maintenance of company property may include and is not limited to: • Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and bathroom floor/shower tile to maintain needs and repairs. • Maintains a clean and hospitable environment including guest rooms, building exteriors, walkways and corridors, landscaped areas, parking lot, back-of-house areas, and reception lobby. • Conducts regular inspections and undertakes repairs of guest room deficiencies as reported by the housekeeping department. • Respond to maintenance requests received from the Front Desk or Housekeeping • Diagnose problems or repairs machines. • Efficient completion of work orders. • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high standard of customer service. • Documents ongoing preventative maintenance throughout the property to management. • Monitors and works to conserve electricity, water, and gas usage. • Promotes a positive work environment and strives to exceed guest expectations. • Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules. • Know the location of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) binder for reference and utilization. • Communicate with Housekeeping to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for Guest rooms and public areas. • Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel. • Painting as needed. Requirements • Previous Maintenance Engineer experience in a hotel preferred. • Moderate technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and bathroom floor/shower tile. • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times. • Moderate knowledge of paint, varnish, stain, enamels, lacquers, wall coverings, masonry work and other related products as well as application and mixing procedures of such products. • Skilled in the proper and safe use of all tools, equipment, materials, chemicals, and products relating to the department. • Excellent English verbal, and written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Must maintain composure under pressure Please respond by sending your resume.
