Description

Hello, My studio mate and I are seeking a third party to share our new studio space. The unit is 1050 sq feet and would be looking to offer you a $250-300 share at $.90/sqft. The unit is on the second floor of a five story artist building. There is a small parking area and courtyard for tenant use, plenty of street parking and a freight elevator. Located near PBC and Martha. About us - two university professors in early 30’s who primarily make sculpture. We are friendly and easy going. We’ve shared a studio together in another industrial building for 5 years now but have had to move out. We both have full time jobs and will be mainly working in the space on nights and weekends. We are searching for a personal who can keep things tidy and respects others’ space. Any disciplines are welcome to inquire however we will not be able to accommodate dusty wood working equipment (table saws etc). This is certainly not to say you wouldn’t be able to make a mess in your own space but we are looking to keep the air quality as good as possible. Normal sculpture stuff is fine: ceramics/plaster/resin etc, just no big dusty machines please. No big parties, crazy stuff please. We are required to pay electric ($20/month) and there is a overhead heater that can be turned on in the winter. You would be aloud to paint the walls and hang your own lights. It’s possible to have a ceramics kiln in the space but no welding is aloud. 6 month lease required and is available October 1st. Feel free to tell us a little about yourself/practice and how and when you would intend to use the space. The pictures you see here are from the previous tenant. We don’t intend to keep the space looking like this.
