Description
Vacation Bible School at Tabernacle SDA Church! 9-12, August 17-20 (4 days). For ages 0-7. Please read below so that you will know what to expect and bring to join in the fun! Welcome! Everyday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, your kids will sing songs, do crafts, play games, have a snack*, and most importantly learn about the Bible, Jesus, and God in large and small groups led by our amazing volunteers. Our VBS is free to come to! *Note about the snack: All snacks are vegetarian and vegan options will be available. No peanuts will be used. Our resources are limited, so if your child has other dietary needs, please send a small snack with your child so they can still participate. Children should bring: Mask (as per mask mandate in Multnomah county) Full water bottle Hand sanitizer Sunscreen (please apply beforehand also) Diapers, wipes and change of clothes (for toddlers who are not potty-trained) With the health and safety of our members and community in mind, TSDAC has created a camp experience to reduce risk of COVID-19 transmission. Currently, VBS enrollment numbers are limited to allow maximum social distancing amongst groups. Following the Multnomah County Mask Mandate (effective 8/13/21), all VBS participants ages 5 and older are required to wear a mask (2 years and older if tolerated). Staff and volunteers are also required to wear a mask during camp. We recognize and acknowledge these policies and practices will not eliminate risk, but rather allow us to engage in camp with reduced risk. We ask families and participants to make their own choices regarding acceptable risk. SAFETY MEASURES: * Check-in will include a daily temperature check for children prior to entry. Children who have a temperature of more than 100ºF will not be allowed to stay. * Staff and Volunteers will ensure proper handwashing and good hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, and follow a strict sick child/staff policy. * Significant disinfecting of supplies and activity areas throughout the day. *Participants must sign a COVID-19 acknowledgement of risk waiver, signed on the first day of VBS. *Parents/guardians who wish to stay may do so, so long as they also sign the waiver and follow COVID-19 precautions. *All campers and their families are required to report any COVID-19 symptoms or exposure to an individual with COVID-19 symptoms (fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea) or diagnosed with COVID-19 within a week prior to the start of camp. * Parents/guardians are required to provide a valid driver’s license each day for pick-up.
