Meal Prep and Nutrition for Youth Athletes
YOUTH ATHLETES: ages 11-17
Nutrition and healthy eating are critical components to achieving an athletes goals and one of the most under-supported aspects of youth with athletic aspirations.
Flavor Uma has taught over 40,000 youth nutrition education with its signature program, Healthy Little Cooks and the Eat Well Project as well as our clients, McCormick Spice, United Way and the Washington Football Team.
Meal Prep for Youth Athletes is our newest initiative designed to help youth that love sports learn about nutrition, while preparing healthy meals they can enjoy all week long. Creating less stress, less time spent cooking during the week and more time dedicated to perfecting their game (and a few hours of family time).
This is a TEST GROUP CLASS. .we only ask that you pay for partial cost of food. ALL OTHER FEES ARE DONATED BY US IN RETURN FOR YOUR FEEDBACK. (a $200 VALUE).
We are looking for youth to cook with us, try out the program and provide feedback. Questionnaires will be given to BOTH - youth and parents after the program.
Saturday, August 14th at 8:30am. \ Please arrive a few minutes early so class can start on time.
What's included:
Food - each youth will walk away with 15 meals (5 breakfasts, 5 lunches, and 5 dinners)Instruction - the class will last approximately 2 1/2 hours / 9am - 11:30amNutrition Chats and Tips for the weekDairy, poultry and grains will be included. NUTS/Tree Nuts will NOT be included.No food substitutions can be made for this class
