We are seeking a Chemical Application Technician for chemical application to crops in storage (potatoes and onions). This seasonal position would run from September through the end of December, and will require working over 50 hours per week, on average. Overtime pay is calculated at regular hourly rate, times 1.5%, for any hours worked over 40, per week. We are offering a starting pay that is negotiable depending on your skills and abilities. As a member of our skilled team, you will be responsible for: Setting up application machines, maintaining chemical levels, and monitoring equipment during applications. Cleaning work area of storage facility upon application completion. Climbing ladders to remove fan screens, etc. and other physical activity for job preparation. Climbing on top of potato / onion piles to acquire information such as temperature readings, as well as place flags. Assist other custom applicators with their duties. Delivery and pickup chemical from multiple customer locations. You will need to have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. The job requires lifting 50 pounds on a regular basis, and overtime hours and weekends are required as we respond to the busy harvest season. Our insurance company requires drug testing and background checking since you're operating our company vehicles.
