Free Salt Lake City suffrage history walking tour
Join Better Days for a free walking tour highlighting Salt Lake City's suffrage history for the 101st anniversary of the 19th Amendment. We'll share stories of Utah women who worked for voting rights from 1870 to the 1970s as we visit some of the places they've made history. Don't miss this unique opportunity for behind-the-scenes info and inspiring stories!
The tour route is a loop covering approximately 2 miles, starting outside the Utah State Capitol and ending outside Council Hall (more detail in the confirmation email). We will be walking on accessible sidewalks, but please note that the route includes a hill and an elevation gain of 220 feet.
*Note: This tour will follow public health guidance. We ask attendees to wear masks inside buildings and socially distance where possible.
Better Days 2020 believes that by popularizing Utah's women's history in creative and communal ways, we open doors to having conversations about the future of Utah women.
