Piano/Keys player wanted for startup variety band

Description

We are forming a high-end cover/variety band to play local gigs from time to time in the Houston area. So far we have a very talented female lead vocalist, a guitar player (backup vox), and a bass player (lead guitarist pending). We are professionals with jobs, all 30+, just aiming to have fun and make good music, but we do all have significant music experience. We get together once a week. Eventually, the goal is to get paying gigs, but at the moment, the immediate goal is to just enjoy making music and get this thing off the ground. While we are branding ourselves as a cover band, original songs are definitely welcome. We are looking to add a good piano/keys player. You need not be a virtuoso, but you must be confident in your abilities and be consistent. We strongly prefer: (i) a local individual, residing in the Humble, Kingwood, Atascocita, Summerwood, or other Lake Houston Area neighborhoods (we rehearse in the Atascocita area); (ii) someone with a professional character, and at the very least a stable job. We are in the process of putting together a sound system, and we do have access to 2 keyboards that will definitely suffice for rehearsal (and possibly get you by for a performance for some time), but eventually you might prefer a more professional quality keyboard. Also, if you can sing backup, please do. Because we are just starting out, you would not be *joining* a band so much as you would be helping to *start* a band. We do not have any recordings yet, but I assure you our musicianship is top tier. We are not set in our ways, and are figuring things out as we go--so you would have plenty of input in the direction of the group. A short, non-exhaustive list of covers we have recently added to our master set list is as follows: (i) Crazy by Patsy Cline (Josh Turner version); (ii) Broken Road by Rascal Flatts; (iii) Ocean Eyes by Billie Eilish; (iv) Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis (our own modern version); (v) Free Fallin (John Mayer version); (vi) Black Velvet by Alannah Myles; (vii) Like I'm Gonna Lose You by Meghan Trainor; and (viii) Someone Like You by Adele. Hopefully, the above gives you some idea of the styles we are considering. Each rehearsal, everyone adds one song to the list (so you would get to play something of your choice as well--including an original if you have one). As for pay--obviously there should be no expectation of pay until we start getting paying gigs. The sooner we get a full group together, the sooner we can start booking and discussing pay. If you are interested, reach out to me and lets set up a time to discuss.
