The Sanctuary Golf Club, a prestigious member-owned private golf club located on Sanibel Island, FL is looking for seasonal, full-time Stewards to join our team for the upcoming season, October 2021 through May 2022. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the proper handling and sanitation of all kitchen and service wares to the highest standards. Maintains all kitchen related areas, during scheduled service periods, to ensure overall departmental cleanliness at all times. • Initializes setup of the dishwasher, stocks appropriate amounts of ware washing supplies to cover business volumes when needed • If AM shift, sets up EDR with plates, utensils, cutlery, ice in salad bar, trash cans, and complete breakdown and cleaning after lunch break • Changes the water in the dish machine as needed throughout the shift to ensure proper sanitation results • Organizes and properly stores all dish and glass racks in their appropriate areas • Maintains sanitary levels of water for pot and pan washing in the three-bin sink and changes the water as needed • Empties all trash receptacles as needed and disposes of all cardboard in the recycle bin to keep the kitchen free of debris • Sweeps and mops the kitchen floors regularly and promptly cleans any spills to prevent potential injuries • Washes and returns all kitchen equipment to its designated area of storage • Removes and cleans any soiled pots, pans, or other kitchen equipment, from the downstairs Banquet Kitchen, prior to the end of the scheduled shift • Sweeps and mops the Banquet Kitchen floor prior to the end of the scheduled shiftRequirements PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT • Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. • Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds. • Continuous repetitive motions. • Work in hot, humid and noisy and fast-paced environment.
