Description

Come celebrate Koreatown on 6th Street! Experience the potential of a car-free public plaza in the heart of our community. What is the Ktown Block Party? The Koreatown Block Party (Ktown Block Party) allows our community and visitors to experience two blocks of 6th street (between Alexandria and Catalina) as a car-free public plaza. Join us for cultural dance, musical performances, pop-up parklets, and safe streets infrastructure demonstrations. Support local businesses while keeping cool! The Ktown Block Party is hosted by a collaboration between the Wilshire Center Koreatown Neighborhood Council, Streets For All , and Walk n Rollers. It is funded by a Go Human Community Mini Grant from the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) and is a promotional event for the Reimagine 6th Street project. How to get to the Ktown Block Party? Attendees are encouraged to bike, walk, or take public transportation to the Ktown Block Party. Several bus and rail lines serve the area, including the B (red) and D (purple) lines and the 720, 204, 206, 754, and 16 bus lines. For those who need to drive, there are paid parking structures near the event. We ask that all participants follow city and county public health guidelines related to COVID-19.
