I usually dont handle much hardwood but if the right tree was available I might think twice. A younger sapling would be ideal but open to others as well. Dont want it to fall into a hole but could make it shake until it lost its sticky sap. You tell me what kind of tree you have and how big it is and I'll let you know if I can handle it. I like white oaks but sorry not really into black oaks. Hopefully your leaves are trimmed up nicely.
