Special Spanish language summer events every Wednesday from 4-7pm. A different theme/activity every week. August 18: Arts & Crafts Night Make a living terrarium, design a custom button or compete in our Sidewalk Chalk Contest 18 de agosto: Noche de Artes y Oficios Crea un terrario viviente, diseña un botón personalizado o compite en nuestro Concurso de tiza en la acera Knight Memorial Library is hosting a series of Spanish language events every Wednesday this summer until September 1st. The celebrations start at 4pm and end at 7pm. Each Wednesday has a different theme Knight Memorial Library está organizando una serie de eventos en español todos los miércoles de este verano hasta el primero de septiembre. Las celebraciones comienzan a las 4 pm y terminan a las 7 pm. Cada miércoles tiene un tema diferente. All Noches Latinas events are FREE, family friendly and open to the public.They are part of Conectando Nuestra Gente, PCL’s wider summer initiative to expand classes, events, services and collections for the city’s growing Spanish-speaking and bilingual population and to develop more effective outreach to Spanish-speaking residents. Workshops to learn sewing, creative writing, dance, theater, handicrafts and audiovisual production skills take place at Knight Memorial, Mount Pleasant, Olneyville, South Providence and Washington Park libraries through the end of September. Nochas Latinas and the Conectando Nuestra Gente initiative have been made possible in part by a grant from the RI Office of Library & Information Services using funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Todos los eventos de las Noches Latinas son GRATUITOS, aptos para familias y abiertos al público. Son parte de Conectando Nuestra Gente, la iniciativa de verano más amplia de PCL para expandir clases, eventos, servicios y colecciones para la creciente población bilingüe y de habla hispana de la ciudad y desarrollar más alcance efectivo a los residentes de habla hispana. Los talleres para aprender costura, escritura creativa, danza, teatro, artesanías y producción audiovisual se llevan a cabo en las bibliotecas de Knight Memorial, Mount Pleasant, Olneyville, South Providence, y Washington Park hasta finales de septiembre.
