Description

We are looking for a Full-Time Technician to work in our Berkeley Lab. Sample Control Technician is responsible for receiving and documenting incoming samples, forwarding paperwork to remote technicians, accurately applying labels to samples, and packing all samples to be shipped out. This position is an ideal entry to the environmental industry. Samples are mostly soil and water, and a Sample Control Tech is expected to learn about various tests and practices used industry-wide. No laboratory or science background is necessary. You'll get that here. We train and we welcome anyone who is responsible and quick on their feet. Primary Responsibilities: -Receives environmental samples into the laboratory -Performs data entry of sample and test information -Label the sample containers -Assists in sample bottle preparation -Assists in sample management and disposal -Assists in sample pickup or field sampling, if needed -Be flexible in work schedule including overtime when needed Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent -Ability to lift 50lbs to waist height repeatedly -Some experieince with secure/clean environment is preferred but not required -Valid state issued driver’s license to drive company vehicles -Must pass screen drug testing -Proficient basic computer use (email, spreadsheet) -Able to multi-task and communicate effectively -Able to work independently and make sound decisions -Well organized and have a good memory Hours: 10:00am-6:30pm Compensation: $17.00/hr plus overtime and benefits Montrose is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
