Dog Parade & Family Fun Tours 2:30-4:30 PM Family Fun Tours 3:00-3:30 PM Dog Costume Parade Throughout history, people have always loved their pets - we'll be celebrating that connection at this family and dog-friendly event! For the humans: Children and families can enjoy an animal-themed scavenger hunt in the Wornall House and receive a Halloween treat. Outdoor events free, indoor scavenger hunt $2 per participant. Registration not required. For the dogs: Outdoors, we'll have a howlingly fun Dog Parade & Costume Contest, so bring your dog in their finest Halloween attire! We will be awarding prizes for Best Costume and Mr./Miss Congeniality, courtesy of Woof Gang Bakery and Pet Wants Greater Kansas City. All participants receive a doggy trick-or-treat bag with goodies from great local pet vendors! Registration required for dog parade participants - please register here! *Leashes required for all dogs while on the Wornall property, including those participating in the parade and those watching the parade. Dogs should be capable of being around multiple other dogs, children, and adults. The Wornall/Majors House Museums manages two of Kansas City’s most significant and dynamic historic structures: the John Wornall House and Alexander Majors House. The houses, both listed on the National Register of Historic Places, provide a variety of educational and community opportunities, including public tours, hands-on field trips, summer camp, social events, educational lectures, author events, youth story times, and holiday and seasonal activities.
