Description

Lost Negatives of Rock & Roll Photography Exhibition and Sale Presented by the Men’s Arts Council of the Phoenix Art Museum The Men’s Arts Council of the Phoenix Art Museum presents Lost Negatives of Rock & Roll, a curated exhibition of rare and casual photos taken of legendary artists from the 1960s including Janis Joplin, Rolling Stones, The Band, Kris Kristofferson, James Cotton, Butterfield Blues and many more. The photos were taken by former manager and music producer Michael Friedman who formed close relationships with many of the legends he managed. The collection of black-and-white photos were stored in Friedman’s attic where they were forgotten for over 50 years. The exhibit’s recently-restored images will be on display and available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the Phoenix Art Museum. Lost Negatives of Rock & Roll Photography Exhibition and Sale is free to the public and family-friendly.
