Adventure Cat In Need Of A New Home - 1 Year Lynx Point Siamese

Description

I have an amazing little cat that was started from a kitten (10 weeks) as an adventure cat. She loves car rides, RV trips, camping (she would play at the park or campground all day, supervised tethered or on leash), and she is leash trained but can be very stubborn (sometimes she walks miles, sometimes you’re carrying her over your shoulder most of the hike). Sierra is very finicky with a lot of sporadic personalities when being asked to hike or walk, something that we will discuss if you have interest in her. She would do great with someone that has a yard to let her lounge in for parts of the day, I think she’d prefer that over walking most of the time. She is about 1 year and 3 months old. She was adopted by us when we lived the weekend van life and truck camper days. Up until approximately 2 months ago she was gone with us adventuring pretty much every weekend. When we sold our last RV her world turned upside down… unfortunately she has not been happy transitioning into a more so full time house cat with far less time outside. We live in a small studio sized one bedroom and we do not have a yard to let her play in. We also have a baby on the way, so her world will be changing even further. My selfish self doesn’t want to part with her, but I feel she isn’t living her life to the fullest any longer. She has unfortunately become very anxious since things have changed, I can tell she desperately wants to be outside or out and about seeing and doing new things. She also is staying at home over the weekends far more often than not since we parted with our RV. This is making her very unhappy, especially given she doesn’t have another kitty friend at home to play with nor are we able to adopt another in our current housing situation. Sierra has a tendency to bite and scratch at times (this is at random but you can usually tell when she’s about to), so she likely would not be good for a family with a baby or someone who plans on having a baby (unless maybe you have a large home to easily separate or another cat to distract her from an infant). We’re looking to find her the perfect new home. We’d prefer to find someone that has some of the following but feel we/she can make it work with someone who only meets a few on this list: •Works From Home Or Retired •Has A Large Home W/Another Cat (she would love a friend, gets along well with most other kitties) •Lots of Camping Or RV Trips •Someone Who Has A Fenced In Yard That’s Willing To Take Her Outside At Least A Few Times A Week On Tether Or Leash. • Someone That Is Willing To Build A “Catio” •Someone That Would Love To Bring Her Along To Things Like Outdoor Dining Or To Sit At Park Occasionally (she loves being with you if it means being outside) Sierra is a wonderful Cat! She is not afraid of much which makes her the perfect take along buddy. It won’t be easy parting with her, however she’s deserving of a family that can give her more than we have to offer at this point in our lives. We will be charging a rehoming fee of $150 to ensure she goes to someone serious (will come with all of her cat things) and would prefer someone who is willing to stay in touch with us (photo updates here and there would be nice). I will also be available to answer questions regarding Sierra and her leash training after she is re-homed. It would be really nice if she was homed with someone close enough (Bay Area or Sonoma County preferably) so I can meet with you here and there toward the beginning if help is needed with Sierra on leash. My partner and I are more than willing to meet up on hikes or at campgrounds to show you the ropes with Sierra and her quirks, she has many and isn’t perfect walking on leash at all times. Hope to hear from the perfect family!
