The Wood Street Commons in West Oakland has two open mics every week.. 1. Every Saturday at 6pm at the Wood Street Commons stage inside the commons at 20th and Wood in West Oakland, and 2. Every Sunday at the Cob on Wood stage at 6pm, 100 yards North (right) after you come in through the Grand ave. entrance at the intersection with Wood Street. All bands, musicians, rappers, spoken word, performers, comedians and artists welcome. The Wood Street Commons is building an answer to homelessness and to the lack of cooperative community in the City by creating tiny home ecovillages on open land in the City limits that is held in a commons land trust for the overnight residential use of human beings for a thousand generations.
