Press release from the City of Wauwatosa: 08/11/2021 2:24 PM Below are a list of resources for the Wauwatosa community: City Tree Damage If there are concerns over a tree falling on a house, wires down, or a tree completely blocking the road, call 911. Assume wires are energized. Don't move them. If the tree damage is not an emergency, report it online to our Forestry team. Cleaning up Trees and Brush The Department of Public Works Forestry team deployed last night at 8 pm and were still working today. Every available staff member is deployed, including from other Public works divisions. We have a substantial number of trees down, including large, healthy trees that came down due to wind. The crews are responding to emergent calls first- trees blocking roads, driveways, or on homes.  It is going to take us time to get everything in the community cleaned up and we thank everyone in advance for their patience. The Department of Public Works is working on plans regarding special collections for limb damage at the Drop Off Center and curbside. Details will be released later. Please watch social media and share these messages with your neighbors. Cool off and Charge Your Devices The Wauwatosa Public Library is open 9:00 am - 8:00 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We have power, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. We welcome anyone to come here and stay cool indoors. Mayfair Mall is open 12:00 - 8:00 pm and has power and air conditioning. City Services (Garbage, Recycling) Continue on Normal Schedule All city services (refuse, recycling, and yard waste) are running as scheduled even with storm clean up. See your collection schedule.
