Tree And Branch Cleanup Continues In City Of Waukesha

WAUKESHA, WI—Waukesha continues to clean up from Tuesday night's storm. City crews worked in the area pictured in the map below. The storm hit the area hard, causing widespread tree damage in public areas, according to a city news release. Crews cleared storm-damaged branches that residents piled on the terrace grass area between sidewalk and road and will work the area the rest of the week. Anyone in the mapped area who wants tree debris removed from private property must stack it on the terrace by 7 a.m. Monday. Once crews finish cleaning up the hardest-hit section detailed in the map, they will sweep the rest of the city to pick up branches placed on terraces. To make this more efficient, the city asks you to notify the Public Works Department online or call 262-524-3600 if you have tree debris ready for pickup. If you are not in the area mapped above, you need to pile your tree debris on the terrace by 7 a.m. Aug. 20. The Drop-Off Center will open temporarily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for residents to bring any tree debris. Only branches will be accepted.
