OAK CREEK, WI — The Oak Creek Lions Club will bring back Lionsfest in Oak Creek over Labor Day Weekend this year, according to the Club's website. The annual celebration has gone on every year since 1959, except for last year, Patch previously reported. Last year's celebration was cancelled due to the pandemic. This year's celebration—long awaited since last year's cancellation— will take place from Sept. 3-6, Labor Day weekend. Details for the upcoming festival have been posted on the Oak Creek Lions Club website. The festival will feature more than a dozen bands, carnival rides and daily food specials such as fish fry, steak sandwiches, and pork sandwiches, and more, the site said. Sunday will feature a car show and Monday will be a day to appreciate veterans. Lunch is free on Monday for Oak Creek veteran residents, the lineup flyer said. Raffles for cash will take place on Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. with a grand prize of $5,000. Other prizes include smaller amounts of cash. At least 20 people will win with a minimum prize of $50, the club's website said. Wristbands for rides will range from $20 for one day to $60 for rides the whole weekend. The carnival and music lineup will be accompanied by food, beer, craft beer gardens, wine and soda. Festivities kick off around noon on Friday. Rides open up at 4 p.m. Friday and will be open the length of the festival. See a full, detailed schedule of the music line up here.
