Backpack Giveaway For KIPP Miami Students Is Friday

MIAMI, FL—KIPP Miami students can receive free backpacks and school supplies Friday, according to a news release. KIPP Miami and Bridge to Hope are partnering to donate 1,250 backpacks for students in the Liberty City neighborhood. The backpack giveaway will be Friday, Aug. 13 from noon-3 p.m. near Miami Dade College's North Campus, 3190 NW 116th Street. KIPP Miami and Bridge to Hope representatives will set up the distribution in the parking lot on Northwest 32nd Avenue and 116th Street. KIPP Miami is part of a national network of public charter schools.Bridge to Hope is a Miami nonprofit serving low-income and in-crisis families.
