GREENDALE, WI — Greendale Police reported that a resident got locked out of their own car by their dog, a man with an axe in the woods was actually just doing trail work, several Greendale homes were egged recently. These are the notable calls for service for Greendale Police Department from July 28-Aug. 3. Read last week's logs here. Among the 269 calls for service, 51 citations and 11 arrests, Greendale Police Department said there was: A resident reported to police that their dog locked them out of a their running vehicle. Officers were able to get into the vehicle. A woman was upset that she could not return her clothes to a store without a receipt, police said. The woman threatened the store's employee with a gun and then ran away with jackets from the store's rack. She was later arrested and charged with robbery-threat of force. A man was found in the woods near Ross Lodge carrying an axe. Police approached the man. He told them he was only cleaning up the bike trail. The man was told to advise County Parks next time, and officers carried the axe home.Homes in the A and D sections were egged. Cars in the S section were covered in condiments.One resident received a fraudulent letter of a Covid Recovery Grant in their name.
