Power Outages Close 4 BCPS Schools, Plus Greenwood Campus

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Power outages have closed multiple campuses in Baltimore County Wednesday, Aug. 11. Staff will be working remotely Wednesday as a result, officials said. Four schools and the Greenwood campus are affected by the outages, according to a statement from Baltimore County Public Schools: Dundalk High SchoolRidge Ruxton SchoolSollers Point Technical High SchoolWest Towson Elementary School The Greenwood campus, which houses the Board of Education building on North Charles Street, is also closed Wednesday. As of 8:20 a.m, BGE was reporting more than 860 outages among its customers in Baltimore County. Of those, more than 600 were in the Ruxton area, according to the utility provider's outage map.
