It pains me to only have bad news like this. I wasn't sure if I should even post this in case this might reopen an old emotional wound. But sometimes never knowing what happened can be worse. So, it's up to you to decide if you want to go further to see if this is your dog. My deepest condolences for whoever's dog this is.
I'm a truck driver. On May 26, 2020(sorry this took so long), I pulled over right after exit 8 on i81 south bound, near the end of the on ramp. While walking around my truck, I saw the deceased dog and it still had a collar, but no tags. I could tell it had been there a very long time, like more than a year maybe. I took a few pictures. The owner might be able to identify it. Obviously, I didn't think it was right to just post the pictures outright on here.
If you think there is a chance this is your dog and need to have the closure of knowing what happened, then contact me through Craigslist and I could email you, or give you a link to the pictures, or simply describe it to you.
Whoever's dog this is, I am so sorry for your loss. I'm an animal lover and have pets dear to me and I know how heart breaking this can be.
