LAKEWOOD, CO — Many people ages 60 and older suffered from isolation and even hunger during the pandemic, but now that the vaccination rollout has mitigated a lot of the risk, they can begin to enjoy their lives again and socialize with others.
The city of Lakewood announced Thursday the opening of a new service that will offer hot, nutritious meals for takeout or dining in.
People ages 60 and older can visit the Clements Community Center, 1580 Yarrow St., at 11:45 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays to participate in the service. There is a suggested $2.50 contribution per meal.
Reservations are required and should be made three business days in advance, organizers said. Call 303-987-4833 to reserve.
