With the risk of infection moderate, the NSMAD is advising residents to take personal protectionmeasures including using an EPA registered repellent, wearing proper attire and eliminating or draining items that can hold standing water around their property.
The NSMAD predicts rain events this week will be an impetus for floodwater/nuisance mosquito breeding. Residents are urged to dump and drain items that hold water and/or contact the NSMAD for additional support.
