Press release from the Clackamas County Government: 8/10/2021 Last May, voters approved Metro Measure 26-210, which brings in funds to establish a new Supportive Housing Services Program that is aimed to end chronic homelessness in the region. Clackamas County has been in a budget crunch that was righted this year and is starting with a smaller budget than anticipated. The county has approved an initial Supportive Housing Services budget of $10M and will increase services as the measure funds become available. The first round of funding will award up to $3 million for programs to provide permanent supportive housing to highly vulnerable people who are being temporarily sheltered or housed through term-limited programs that are ending. The Housing Authority of Clackamas County will accept proposals for funding between August 5 and August 25, 2021. Points will be awarded to applicants who center racial equity and incorporate culturally responsive practices into their service delivery model. Services offered should fit into the following categories: Housing Navigation and Placement Supportive Housing Case Management The Request for Proposals, including detailed descriptions of these program components and the County's priorities for this funding, are available online at https://www.clackamas.us/housingauthority/bids.html Programs funded must be located in and/or provide services within the Metro jurisdictional boundaries of Clackamas County.
