To the Moon: Snoopy Soars with NASA Closes August 29, 2021 FREE ADMISSION In May of 1969, just before the first man landed on the moon, Snoopy soared through space with NASA's Apollo 10 mis­sion launching the beagle's debut as a U.S. space program ambassador. Learn about the role Peanuts characters played in NASA's Manned Flight Awareness safety program, and explore a 1969 series of NASA-themed comic strips, photographs, video footage, and Peanuts collectibles. Find out about astronauts from the Chicago area including Apollo 10 lunar module pilot Eugene Cernan. A touring exhibit organized by the Charles M.
