UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The long-awaited and much-discussed second Upper West Side Target location finally opened this week at West 98th Street and Columbus.
The "small-format" location at 795 Columbus welcomed customers on Wednesday in its new 22,000 square-foot space for a soft opening. The store will have its grand opening on Sunday.

A spokesperson for the store also said the location will have a CVS Pharmacy coming soon where residents can pick up prescriptions.
The new location is joining another in the neighborhood at 1863 Broadway and West 61st Street.
The popular retailer is the eighth-largest in the United States and opened alongside a new location in Washington Heights this week to make the two new outposts the tenth and eleventh in Manhattan.
