MARIETTA, GA — Marietta Police Department officials have identified the man shot and killed at a Motel 6 location in Marietta. Around 8:05 a.m., Marietta police received a 911 call about a man with a gunshot wound at the motel, MPD spokesperson Chuck McPhilamy said. Officers arrived within a minute, he said, and found Quintom Mosley, 38, of Marietta, lying on the outdoor breezeway outside room 503. "He was alert, conscious and breathing when he was transported," McPhilamy said. Mosley was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he died of his injuries. Police have not identified a motive, and no other information has been released as of 6:10 p.m. Thursday. The investigation is still ongoing.
