Description
Press release from the University of Alaska Anchorage:
August 11, 2021
During the 2020-2021 academic year, a collaborative decision was made to suspend on-campus shuttle services. In early 2021, campus leaders again evaluated a number of criteria including, dwindling ridership, appropriate service levels based on reduced ridership trends, funding and COVID-19 impacts relating to "mass" transit and the decision was made to continue pausing the shuttle program through this academic year.
The university continues to participate in the People Mover U-PASS program. This provides campus community members with access to critical support services, such as academic advising, computing resources, Consortium Library, Student Health and Counseling Center, etc.
