Press release from the University of Alaska Anchorage: August 11, 2021 During the 2020-2021 academic year, a collaborative decision was made to suspend on-campus shuttle services. In early 2021, campus leaders again evaluated a number of criteria including, dwindling ridership, appropriate service levels based on reduced ridership trends, funding and COVID-19 impacts relating to "mass" transit and the decision was made to continue pausing the shuttle program through this academic year. The university continues to participate in the People Mover U-PASS program. This provides campus community members with access to critical support services, such as academic advising, computing resources, Consortium Library, Student Health and Counseling Center, etc. This press release was produced by the University of Alaska Anchorage.
