Deadly Shooting Of Buckhead Woman Under Investigation

ATLANTA — An 18-year-old woman died Tuesday night after being shot in a Buckhead apartment, authorities said. Atlanta Police were called to the Ashley Gables Buckhead apartment complex around 7:30 p.m., in response to reports of gunfire. Officers arrived to find the woman with a gunshot wound. She was taken to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries, police said. Channel 2 Action News reports that police "have people detained" in connection with the shooting of the teen. Homicide detectives are working to determine the circumstances of the shooting and identify a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
