Sampson is a great dog. We got him from my parents who had an unexpected litter of puppies between their pure bred German shepherd and the neighbor's pointer. He's a big dog about 100lbs with medium energy level.
He is housebroken and knows some basic commands. He walks well on leash with a pinch collar. He is good with older kids but growled briefly once at my 1 yo when she tried to take his ball (which is why we are getting rid of him.) He has never otherwise growled at anyone or ever bit anyone. He is a good guard dog though and will bark at anyone unfamiliar that comes up to our gate.
He is mostly an outside dog but he does great in the house just lounging around.
He lives with one other dog who is his brother from the same litter and they have grown up together. Sampson is the dominant one and is aggressive toward his brother. Mostly they play great and he has never harmed another dog, we have had multiple dogs visit.
I think he just has a dominant dog personality and there might be some adjustment if he goes to a home with another dog.
He loves fetch and will destroy tennis balls but doesn't chew things he isn't supposed to.
He occasionally escapes our fence but he always comes back.
He was born in February 2016.
He is up to date on all his shots and is neutered.
He has a benign lipoma on his chest that is not very attractive but doesn't hurt anything.
Ideal home would be someone with older kids lives on land with no other dogs but he is flexible.
Small rehoming fee to ensure a good home.
Feel free to come meet him. If you take him and it's not a good fit we will take him back.
