The Candlewood Suites in Boise is looking for a dependable applicant to work in our Maintenance Department. This is a Full Time position and applicants must be able to work Monday-Friday each week. Shifts will be from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. You will be "ON Call" on the weekend should an emergency occur. JOB SUMMARY: repairing and maintaining the interior and exterior of the hotel while following Company standards for quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, safety and security. Other key duties include: -Perform routine maintenance such as painting, carpet/floor cleaning, caulking, etc. -Emptying garbage and cleaning the parking lot daily -Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, room furniture, fixtures and other items in the hotel -Assist the Head of Maintenance with the company’s preventative maintenance program -Report major repair needs to the Head Maintenance Engineer -Assist in setup/cleanup of meeting rooms -Assist in other areas of the hotel as needed Minimum Experience, Education, Skill & Physical Requirements: -Must have a high school diploma or equivalent -MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION -At least 1 year of solid work history (Maintenance not required) -Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 140 pounds with assistance -Must be able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, crawl, push, pull and twist the majority of the day -Must display very good organization and time management skills -Must have a positive attitude -Must be dependable and on time without missing work on a regular basis Other skills that are recommended but not required: Basic working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and/or other general repair skills Prior Experience This opportunity does not require prior Maintenance or hotel experience however applicants with this background will have an advantage. We are willing to train the right individual in all areas of our Maintenance Department. Potential for wage increase after 90 days with satisfactory performance.
