Participate in a Novel Approach for Starting a Local Band

I am looking to connect with Western Mass musicians on Kompoz to create original music. If we are successful--and we all live in Western Mass--we could easily form a band because we live near each other. Creating original music remotely online--with each musician having the quiet time to bring their independent style and voice to a composition--seems to provide different results than composing in real-time as a group in one room, or just being directed to learn the parts of a song that was written by one person. I propose that each person interested in such an adventure setup one project on Kompoz and let the cards fall where they may. Who participates, and how they participate, and the end result, would be a natural sorting process for the final consortium. Producers/sound engineers should also participate. After all, we would need someone to be the unbiased, seat-of-authority in helping to produce and mix the masters, and for ultimately being the musical director/sound person/theatricalizer for live shows should a consortium come together. If this sounds like an interesting part-time musical adventure for six months, one that could potentially result in a band with a unique sound based on a mashup of musicians with diverse musical styles, you know what to do.
