We are currently seeking individuals for positions of Dog Handler / Kennel Assistant. Our staff work together as a team to provide a caring and interactive atmosphere, as well as exceptional service delivery. Responsibilities include: - Interacting with dogs to help them get plenty of exercise, socialization and love. - Manage dog playgroups. Be knowledgeable of their personalities and behaviors. Keep dogs safe and minimize skirmishes. - Handle dogs in positive way while commanding their respect. - Moving dogs throughout the facility for outside playtime, rest periods and meals. - Feeding, administering medication and bathing. - Be comfortable with and diligent in cleaning up pee, poop and similar waste. - Lots of cleaning! Maintenance of an exceptionally clean facility is a top priority. Whether you have professional experience and knowledge in handling dogs, or you've cared for family dogs, a willingness to learn, attention to detail and self-motivation are required. Requirements of the position: - Must have a passion and compassion for dogs. It's why we're here! - Able to work weekdays, weekends and some holidays. - A positive, personable and outgoing attitude. Great communication skills with co-workers is essential. - Capable of physical work, including bending and heavy cleaning. - Ability to multi-task and take initiative in a fast-paced work environment. - Responsible, reliable and prompt.
