Description
Not sure where I saw this, but sounds like a good idea;
To cut down vote fraud, we need to eliminate electronic voting machines and go back to hand counting.
We could achieve that by increasing the number of voting districts, so that there are no more than 1,000 voters per polling place.
*Voting would be ONE DAY, from 6 a. m. to 9 p.m.
* Mail-in ballots would be sent out by request only and would require a strict identification and signature verification process.
* Voting is cut off strictly at 9:00 p. m., votes will be counted by hand and results turned in by midnight on election night.
It would be very easy for a handful of volunteers to count 1,000 ballots in a couple of hours.
Sounds to me like it would work.
We would just need more volunteers to perform the count and secure the polling places.
What did we do before we had vote counting machines ??
Why should we expose ourselves up to possible hacking, when we can count by hand and avoid computers altogether ?
What we do NOT want is, a small handful of people doing the deciding for the rest of the country.
When we get to the point that our vote doesn't count, or it can be cancelled or switched, America will no longer have "Democracy".
I fear that we may already be there.
