We are looking for an experienced Carpenter who is both passionate and proud of the work they accomplish and holds themselves to a standard of quality in line with our company values. We are a full service residential general contractor located in Austin, TX and have been in business for over 25 years. We pride ourselves in quality over quantity as well as building lasting relationships with our customers. The ideal candidate is an individual with great hand dexterity with an eye for detail who can exercise mathematical and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: *Perform all carpentry duties required, including both rough and finish carpentry. *Work with a supervisor to solve project-related problems. *Read, interpret, and understand blueprints, drawings and project specifications. *Cut, shape, and smooth lumber according to measurements. *Erect wooden support structures and frame walls, buildings, and other structures by using raw materials. *Install siding, cabinets, trim, decking, hardware, drywall, decking, and insulation. *Adhere to safety guidelines to ensure tools and equipment are working properly and work areas are free of debris and hazards. *Follow COVID-related safety protocols, as necessary. Requirements: *5+ years of proven carpentry experience in residential remodeling and new construction. *High school diploma or GED. *Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. *Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. *Ability to comfortably use ladders, scaffolding, and carry up to 80 pounds regularly. *Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times, including the ability to safely operate power tools. *Excellent time management skills. *Displays strong oral and written communication skills. We offer a competitive hourly wage based on experience with personal time off, paid holidays, employer-matched retirement, and health insurance offered after 90 days, as well as room for advancement after six months.
