Description

There is a group of gOP governors that are engaged in forced Herd Immunity through exposure. Someone has convinced them that that is the best way to conquer the virus; if everyone gets it then everyone will have antibodies of resistance to it. That is not the way virology works, and to even consider this scenario accepts 2,000,000 dead Americans to reach the goal of 75%-85%. The second consideration is that this scenario ignores the probability that a variant (Delta, Lambda, Maga) will emerge from the unvaccinated infected herd that evades the developed antibodies. The third consideration is that the naturally developed antibodies are short-lived compared to a vaccine, and inadequate to work against a distinctly different mutation.
