Description

Have 2 different jobs that can be done with 2 different people. JOB 1 MOVING HELP: Moving into a new house weekend of 14th/15th and based on when can find helpers to move, will schedule either a rental truck, or pay for movers with truck for the day. I would like to do on 14th or 15th guessing, but again let me know your availability 14, 15, 16, or 17th. I am 40's female and can help a single mover, or can hire 2 movers and I do nothing. Or if you are a mover with truck, let me know the cost for you to move things explained below. So let me know what date you are available and pay/cost for your work, and assume would be 2 hours tops in unloading in Redondo Beach. I could probably use one person to help load one thing in Whittier if I rent a Uhaul, but my concern is unloading in Redondo Beach, OR have someone do the entire move done by someone. Let me know: 1. if you can be day labor to unload a Uhaul in Redondo Beach if I rent a truck, OR 2. if you are a mover that could move a storage unit from Whittier, with a stop on the way to pick up a bed MDR, to end in Redondo Beach and unload. Items are mostly small boxes in storage, twin mattress, tall dresser, wood bar & stools, tabletop and chairs, and stop is to pick up bed of king mattress with headboard and a small L couch that is still new in box. Assuming would rent a 15 foot truck if I rent one. JOB 2: BUILD INTERIOR WALL (temp or more permanent) Basically making some kids rooms from larger rooms. So I need 2 walls in L shape, to attach to the existing walls, to close it off into new room from the larger room. I want to enclose part of 2 different larger rooms. One is living room add an L shape 2 walls to make room, other is enclose a dining room by 2 L shape walls. This is total 4 interior walls, each are 2 L shape walls that attach to existing walls. So it is Livingroom build 2 temporary interior walls, to make another separate room from a large living room, by adding 2 walls in L shape to attach to existing other 2 walls of room. Also 2 interior walls in L shape to close in dining room. I have done this before myself by 2 x 4 and attaching drywall into a panel 4 x 8, and attaching then the 2 panels to make the wall. I simply then attach end of panel, to existing wall on each end. I put a wedge in the small space from top of panels to ceiling to hold more secure as well... or if you are a pro and have another way... let me know. I have always made more a temp wall not a permanent fixture that have held up for years. One wall is in living room and would be about 8-12 foot in length, and the L would be about 4 feet of which in that 4 feet would be a prehung door. Each end of the L, would meet up with an existing wall. I would also like to enclose a dining room by adding 2 walls each probably 7-8 feet, with a prehung door in one wall. This can be taped and painted, or not taped and use a trim to cover where the panels meet. Let me know your skill and costs for either way. I have done this myself, but not having truck and time, would prefer to have someone else do this. Let me know if you can either pick up the probably 16 drywall panels & 2 x 4's and 2 prehung doors at Home Depot, or if you could just build it with supplies already there if I need to get supplies there somehow instead for you. I am borrowing someone's tape measure, drill & stud finder in case I am left to do myself, but let me know if you need tools or have your own as well please. Let me know which you can do... either just come and build, or if can go get materials as well. Also let me know how long you think it would take you. I am moving into a place, need some more rooms than are there so making larger rooms into 2 rooms, on a budget, and just looking to make kid rooms basically as a necessity with the space that is there. I would like it to look apart of the house in the most basic way, but I am not looking for it to be in Architecture Digest if you can understand where I am coming from. So let me know if you can help in EITHER these 2 jobs of: 1. Moving... or 2. Handyman to build interior walls to make room. Hope was clear enough, but if not, email me for more clarity. Thanks!
