The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday. Start times and end times vary between 7A and 5P. Frequent night or weekend work is required to complete HVAC preventive maintenance, generator testing or other repair projects. This position shares on-call responsibilities to address emergencies. The facility is a Class A Biomedical facility located on the Mayo Campus off San Pablo Road in Jacksonville. Must have reliable transportation and be able to address emergencies in a timely manner. Responsibilities included but not limited to: • Perform all aspects of repairs and maintenance assignments with moderate supervision. • Perform commercial HVAC troubleshooting and repair using knowledge of pumps, valves, dampers, actuators, relays, and circuit boards. • Apply knowledge of various measuring devices including pressure gauges, temperature and humidity transmitters, room pressure monitors, flow meters, and BTU meters to help maintain facility systems. • Monitor alarms and make adjustments within Building Automation System. • Other maintenance repairs including but not limited to: • Paint/minor drywall repairs • Minor plumbing, appliance and carpet repairs • Minor electrical repairs • Minor HVAC repairs and filter changes • General labor repairs such as moving items, putting together items • Minor concrete repairs • Pressure washing • Parking signage and building signage repairs • Locksmith repairs • Light cleaning / spill response • Tenant Services • Maintain a safe work environment • Maintain the required company uniform and a professional appearance and attitude Knowledge & Skill Requirements: • Minimum of (5) years of applicable working experience in commercial building repair and maintenance including commercial HVAC, plumbing and electrical • Working experience using a Building Automation System and aptitude to learn the specific system on site • Ability to lift 50lbs, use ladder up to 30ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude • Ability to perform duties while standing, walking, sitting, bending, working on ladders, and system on site • Have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written REFERENCES WILL BE CHECKED AND VERIFIED CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO BE CONSIDERED: • Clean criminal background check • Clean driving record and insurability on the company’s policy
