Eakin Elementary School Clean Up for Safe Routes to School Art Project

Description

This event is clean up the Eakin Elementary School grounds and surrounding walkways to prepare for the art installation. Columbus Public Health received a grant to develop an art walk around Eakin Elementary School to encourage students to walk and bike safely to school. Before the art can be created/placed, the playground of the school and surrounding walkways need to be cleaned. This event is to clean up the Eakin Elementary school grounds. During cleanup, volunteers can expect to be sweeping up glass, weeding, mulching, edging, and picking up cigarette butts. Schedule of activities: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm cleanup 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm lunch at a local restaurant (volunteers pay for their own meals) Please email Ariel Garsow at [email protected] if you have any questions.
