looking for lap dog and walking buddy

Hi, I'm looking for a lap dog that could be a good walking buddy. I've owned a pomeranian and a mastiff mix before (had the mastiff since he was a puppy and pom I got when he was six years old, both have crossed the rainbow bridge). So, I have some experience with small and large dogs. Would prefer a dog of a smaller size. Would really love another pomeranian but I know that's going to be hard to come by, will consider chihuahuas as well as mixed breeds. NO puppies. I do NOT want a puppy. Would prefer the dog to already be potty trained. If it's close to its first birthday that would be fine but an adult dog would be better. Nothing over five years old. Must be good on a leash, and must be cat-friendly.
