Made in Baltimore is hosting a series of tours at local manufacturing and production spaces that offer custom apparel manufacturing. In an effort to stimulate local manufacturing and support production spaces that offer custom apparel manufacturing, Made In Baltimore will organize and facilitate tours of apparel and accessories production spaces in Baltimore City. Itinerary: 5:00pm-5:15pm - Opening from Made In Baltimore/Manufacturer Introduction 5:15pm-5:30pm - Presentation of Manufacturers products and services 5:30pm-6:30pm - Production Space Tour 6:30pm-7:00pm - Closing Remarks and Questions About Belvidere Terrace Atelier: Production Capabilities / Services Design and development full service packages including sketching (digital), patternmaking, sample making, grading, sourcing, digitizing (we have the Gerber Accumark suite), marker making, plotting, tech pack creation, packaging and hangtag design, short production runs. Ideal Client for Belvidere Terrace Atelier: Our ideal client wants to produce high quality garments that are made to last and will command a high retail price point. We typically tell clients that a budget of around $20k is needed to develop a 5 piece collection, depending upon how intricate the garments are. We pay our stitchers well because they produce exceptional work and we are not interested in the traditional model of the industry which exploits the garment workers to produce a cheap product. We encourage our clients to educate their customers on the value of purchasing clothing that is well made by workers earning a living wage.
