A family-friendly, interactive poster tour and a related art-making experience! Peter Max’s colorful, fantastical designs are some of the most commercially successful of the 1960s. After engaging with his posters from the current exhibition Peter Max: Cosmic Advertising, as well as other pop and psychedelic work from the period, we will create our own whimsical diorama worlds that reach across space and time! This program invites children 5-11 years old and their adults to collaborate (siblings are welcome!). This is not a drop-off program. Not ready to join us in person? Poster House is America's first museum dedicated to presenting the impact, culture, and design of posters, both as historical documents and methods of contemporary visual communication. Through temporary exhibitions, a growing permanent collection, educational events, and publications, Poster House explores the enormous impact of posters on society and culture, and how they continue to influence human behavior in the 21st Century.
