This panel discussion and networking opportunity will explore the role of the five senses in shaping centering environments. Healing Through Design will feature a discussion panel moderated by design curator and appraiser, Isabelle Weiss, and Director of the Metropolitan Museum of Design Detroit, Leslie Ann Pilling. The panel discussion will explore healing through design. Examining the role of the five senses in shaping therapeutic, calming and centering environments, panelists will share their perspectives on color, acoustics, lighting, object and scent experience. Featured panelists include: Elizabeth Salonen of MottoformZackery Belanger of Arcgeometer Parker Lynch of Hedgehog HealthFollowing the panel there will be open networking for members and prospective Detroit Design Network members, and an opportunity to view installations featured throughout the space connecting to the concepts of the panel discussion. This event is produced through a series of partnerships between several Detroit Design Network members and Design Core Detroit with the purpose of inspiring broader collaborations within the Network.
