Through a combination of talent, hard work, passion, and perseverance, she rose from humble beginnings in a small town in upstate New York to aspiring model, Hollywood movie showgirl, B-movie star, studio mogul, and television’s Queen of Comedy. Join Cindy Sipala for a presentation on the star’s life, career, and the iconic character of “Lucy.” Sipala is the author of several books on the stars of the classic Hollywood era, including Lucy at the Movies; Lana: The Memories, the Myths, the Movies; Sophia Loren: Movie Star Italian Style, and more. This is an in-person event. In accordance with New York City mandate, all guests must have received a COVID-19 vaccine.
